He has been interviewed for his veterans disability expertise by local media -- like Maine Public Radio, WSCH Channel 6, and WABI Channel 5 -- and national media like CNN's Michael Smerconish.
He served as a University of Maine System trustee from 2012 to 2014. He helped manage a western Maine state senator's campaigns in 2016, 2018, 2020, and 2022. He has chaired the Freedom Planning Board since April 2022, and a Director and Treasurer for the Freedom Community Historical Society since 2021. In 2022 and 2023 he chaired the Town of Freedom Charter Commission, which drafted a constitution for the town 210 years after it was incorporated. He wrote the Freedom Town Column for The Republican Journal, and its successor, The Midcoast Villager, from March 2021 to July 2024, and again from November 2024 to February 2025. He was a Director of the Sebasticook Regional Land Trust from 2023 to 2025.
When not working, you can find him reading, playing ice hockey, running, or planning his next road trip. He lives in his hometown with his wife, Catherine, and daughter, Sophia. He is admitted to practice law in Maine courts; the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims; and the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals.
